RECYCLING JEANS!

Have you got old and unfashionable jeans?
Don't trow them away!

YOU NEED: one jeans, another fabric you like, two buttons, cotton, needles, scissors, sewing machine, tailor's chalk, tailor meter.

Cut off the jeans's legs.
Try to be accurate helping the tailor meter and the tailor's chalk.

Unstitch one of the back pockets and replace it with one of a different fabbric.

I used a very thin fabric, so I had to thicken it with a layer of cotton.

Cut two strips from the same fabic used for the pocket...

...and join them to the hem of jeans's legs.
I sewed them on the other side, to make the cuffs.

Add two more little strips creating a sort of  buttonhole, so you can enbellish the cuffs with buttons and, if you like, some belt loops.

DONE!
My old jeans and my new denim shorts!

CEREAL BARS HOME MADE

Would you like cereal bars?
if you have got leftover muesli or oat porridge and some nuts and dried fruit you can recycle them into sweet cereal bars!

You need to add: chocolate black or white (or both), brown sugar, hot water.

Method:

Mix cereals, dried fruit and nuts in a bowl.

In another container melt the sugar by the hot water making a syrup.

Add the melted sugar to the cereals and dried fruit. Stir as the syrup (sugar and water) will be soaked up by cereals.

Add the chocolate and mix all again.

Put  the mixture in a baking tin and press it  trying to join the cereals together and by a knife mark the slices.

Bake in the preheated oven to 180°C for 15-20 minutes.

Remove from the oven and allow to rest in the tin  for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a rack to cool completely.

ENJOY!
